VisNow visualization software has been developed from scratch at the Laboratory of Visual Analysis group at Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling at the University of Warsaw. At first it was just a small library of Java classes, created by Dr Krzysztof Nowiński, used for visualization purposes in other applications. After starting VisNow developement group it became a fully independent visualization application.

Creating your own modules
VisNow framework enables users to create their own modules and integrate them with the application.
A new module can be created as a modification of a specially prepared template and after packaging and describing libraries in XML, can be integrated into main application just by opening a JAR library file.
Available resouces for module programming are as follows:
- VisNow source code (NetBeans project)
- Plugin module template (NetBeans project)
- Module creation documentation (including module API)
- Data formats and API documentation
- Port acceptor/schema documentation
- Training materials - Module programming
- Training materials - Programming setup
